Cleanroom Architecture for Industrial Electronics

Universal Simplified Edition
A hyper-precision industry where minute environmental or operational variations can compromise product quality, with air purity and stable temperature/humidity being critical to yield rates and final product performance.
  • Primary Functions of Cleanrooms
  • Contamination Control Principles
  • Purification parameters
  • THE
    FUNCTION
    Functional objective

Function 1: Filter and recirculate air to maintain a cleanroom environment

Function 2: Condition air to maintain a constant temperature and humidity environment

Function 3: Establish positive pressure environment to prevent external air contamination

  • THE
    PRINCIPLE OF
    Principle
Air intake → Primary filtration → Air conditioning → Intermediate filtration → FFU (Fan Filter Unit) propulsion → Ductwork distribution → HEPA/ULPA filtration (terminal high-efficiency filtration) → Laminar airflow supply into room → Contaminant removal (capturing particles/bacteria) → Air return through grilles → Recirculation to primary filtration. This closed-loop cycle achieves continuous air purification.
  • THE
    PARAMETER
    Parameter

    1. Pressure differential: Main workshop ≥5Pa relative to adjacent rooms.

    2. Average Air Velocity: Class 100 (ISO 5): 0.3–0.5 m/s; Noise Level: ≤65 dB(A); Fresh Air Supply: 10%–30% of total supply air volume; Illuminance: ≥300 lux.

Class 100 to Class 300,000 structural design and fabrication process:

    1. Cleanroom wall and ceiling panels are typically made of 50mm-thick sandwich color steel plates, known for their aesthetic appeal and high rigidity. Rounded corners, door frames, and window frames are typically constructed with specialized aluminum oxide profiles.

    2. The flooring may utilize epoxy self-leveling coatings or high-grade wear-resistant plastic flooring. For areas requiring anti-static properties, electrostatic discharge (ESD)-protected types shall be selected.

    3. Air supply and return ducts shall be constructed with hot-dip galvanized steel plates, lined with flame-retardant PF foamed plastic insulation boards for optimal thermal and cleanliness performance.

    4. HEPA filter units shall feature stainless steel frames for aesthetic cleanliness, with perforated panels made of powder-coated aluminum plates that are rust-proof, dust-resistant, and easy to clean.
